Article:

I bought a Kodak EasyShare DX7590 Digital camera because I wanted a good quality digital camera to take pictures of my first granddaughter. Since buying it, I have discovered just what a great job it does catching the depth and range of the color spectrum. I have also discovered how easy it is to zoom in close enough to catch the incredibly fine details of the wispy, corkscrew red hairs on the nape my granddaughter's neck.

On a more professional level, my Kodak EasyShare DX7590 has been a lifesaver in capturing the minute details of the retro items I sell on E-Bay. If I am selling a lamp that has gold flecks in the ceramic glaze, this camera can capture the gold fleck without distorting the background colors or the flecks themselves. Many times, I have requests from potential buyers to show them close-up pictures, of say, a dolls face or a clock face, and the Kodak EasyShare DX7590 has never failed getting a great shot. Having good pictures on E-Bay greatly increases the chances of an item selling. This camera does that for me.

The EasyShare has made my E-Bay picture taking life more simple with the 10X Schneider optical zoom, 38-380mm (35mm equivalent) because I can literally position myself in a place, where the light hits the item best, and either zoom in or out to take the best picture. I don't need to stand in a certain defined position to take good pictures.

I am also pleased with the high-speed, low light auto focus. I am not a professional photographer, nor do I want to learn how to be one. I just want to take great pictures easily. The Kodak EasyShare DX7590 auto focus system does this for me.

Another very helpful feature, whether I am taking pictures of my granddaughter or a retro couch, is the high-resolution electronic color viewfinder. I can see what a picture will look like without having to put my eye up to a small view finder. This helps me talk to my granddaughter naturally so she is not as camera focused and gives me her biggest smile.

If I am taking pictures of vintage jewelry, shooting the pictures outdoors helps to show the clean cuts of the gems. The indoor/outdoor LCD helps me see the fine detail of the jewelry before taking the picture and then again when I have taken it. No matter what the light, it seems this camera makes automatic adjustments to ensure a perfect picture.

My only wish is that the camera would recover and be ready to shoot again more quickly after taking a picture. It seems like there is too long a time before I can take another shot. Now, this is not a problem when taking pictures of inanimate e-Bay items, but it is disappointing when trying to capture moment after moment of the cutest granddaughter ever.

My thoughts :)
